As cheap as forage soybeans are, that would be my choice for 3 acres.
Generic RR forage beans are less than $40 a bagHow much are they now? I looked at them a couple years ago and went with iron clays instead
Do you have brand names to look for ? Is there a bigger benefit to using eagle forage soybeans ?Generic RR forage beans are less than $40 a bag
Eagle beans tend to get taller and make more leaf...if you can mange to keep the deer out of them, buck gt or slw soybeans are two of the generics.Do you have brand names to look for ? Is there a bigger benefit to using eagle forage soybeans ?
If you have to put a fence up to keep deer out of your plot you either need to plant more, improve native forage or reduce your deer density. Habitat improvement and native forage will get you more mileage than any food plot and are usually cheaper to so as well. Not that plots don't have their place.
You, sir, have likely not been in the Low Country of South Carolina.
We have tried reducing deer density.
Nature abhors a vacuum.
How many does are being killed in your effort? How many acres?
