There used to be a good many foxes back before the coyotes came. The coyotes have about wiped them out. Also they are native here and the coyotes are invasive. So most of us release all foxes.

They also don’t seem to cause any/many issues with the animals most people want to help (deer/turkey) so there isn’t as much of an incentive to keep them. If you had a rat or rabbit farm you may want to wage war! lol

What did you use for bait...my dog proofs haven't been touched??

I placed a small amount of catfish food on the ground around trap and put Magic Bait Chicken Liver catfish bait inside trap.

Ha! Never heard of anyone using catfish bait. Clearly it works. Again, you done good!!!

If you smell this catfish bait you will know right away why it works! The smell will stay on your hands for days…….

Well, I’m strictly managing for deer and turkeys. They might be somewhat of a threat on a nesting hen or a poult, but the truth is I like them for some reason and just tend to release them.

You may want to try peanut butter, sweet smelling cereal, sardines, etc. That’s what I catch them on.

I pulled around the 9th and ended up with:

6 coyotes
3 gray foxes
16 coons
1 bobcat
16 beavers
4 otters
7 possums
2 dogs (caught one twice, dummy)

This old man is wore out, but I got a grin that won't go away. God is good.

Since post #20, I added 28 coons/possums (not sure on the split without reviewing my documented pictures), 2 bobcats and hound dog.
