Joro spiders in Gilmer County

I’ve knocked down a dozen or so and am trying to make contact when I do. After hearing they eat stink bugs, I may just move them over. I remember the banana spiders growing up in Florida and these are close but not the same.

Give it time. They showed up on my place this year and I'm just on the other side of Clarks Hill from ya.facepalm:
You were correct. Found one on my sc place today. Big purple butted critter that looks like it could haul off a fair-sized housecat, bright yaller web.

I make it a point to kill every single one of them! You could use that yaller web as a guitar string!

I know it's not a good picture but I ran to this guy this morning in Clayton county. Cold weather didn't seem to bother it.
