Looks like a good time was had by all. Congratulations.
Many years ago, after my last bird hunt with a very old pointer, I had to pick him up and put him in the truck. He was tired but happy. I got to listen to his tail wagging pop the metal truck bed all the way home. That was a very satisfying sound.
Good news, Mike! Glad you got to get out this year. There was only one old dog on the hunt and he didn't have 4 legs.
9 years ago hunting woodcock, I thought I'd killed Abby when we hunted from early a.m. to early p.m. in cold conditions. I had to carry her from the truck to the house, then to her feed bowl. I was worried sick to death, but she woke up wagging her tail.. Here she is after that hunt. From one old dog to another, Gil
