I’ve got a pair of Manley parallel jaw pliers that can’t be beat when it comes to clamping force or snugging up knots on heavy leaders, etc. For everyday use I actually prefer a pair of Bubba Blade needle nose. I haven’t had many issues with either in terms of corrosion but I handle my gear pretty well and rinse etc. Neither of these are budget options so I have them in a nice sheath with lanyard.

If I had them pliers/sheath, they'd be in my fishin' collection cabinet.

Had the sheath made by a very talented guy. He made one for me, and one for each my sons. I like stuff like that. And I use it.

I got a new pair of pliers for my birthday.
The other son gave me a BIG bobber to put on em.

I have a pair that are nickel plated and they have held up for several years, not sure of the brand. I believe I got them at bass pro in the salt water section.

If it doesnt work, I have mine on a magnetic lanyard back to the sheath.
