No birds seen
No birds heard

and got bit by chiggers and picked 2 ticks off when I got home!

Same here...I did see a turkey though, he was crossing the road when I was on the way home and I'd just about swear he was laughing.

I did not get to hunt Saturday but yesterday we had the same experience you had. Not one boird heard or seen and not a single sign on our property.

But I think I know why. Dad said Saturday morning he heard a shot come from the field on my neighbors property. The same property involved in the baiting a couple years ago. Well it's baited again and this time he is not using a crossbow. Unfortunately I learned my lesson last time so until he tires of baiting I guess he will have the turkey. Does not look good for me this year.
