“Shed to house”

I considered that because it’s much easier dealing with the county on. Practically zero inspections or permitting for a camper. I was just concerned about longevity. My dads only 60 and hopefully has many many years left. This project will take a significant amount of his savings so I think a more permanent structure would be better and his mind is set on a small “cabin”.
Plus a camper is hard to live in full time. The shed to house idea is a better full time living situation. Easier to heat and cool etc etc. Go on youtube. There are a billion ideas for you to look at.

These guys have better looking setup than we do, but here’s a 12x24. Spray foam insulation and a small wood stove. Electric but no water and we have an outhouse. Bought cheap flooring and paneling, looks good for what we have into it. A small woodshed was good addition for us. We have an 8’ loft that kids sleep in but I’d go smaller if you don’t have youngsters to climb up there.
