1st pig brig set

We talked to the adjoining farmer today and they have trapped 96 next to us and within a mile down the road,So far this year. I guess that’s why they are trap shy. He’s using a pig brig as well.

As smart as they are I’m sure they’ll get trap shy with every type of trap. If your location is right on your profile you are in a very good hog location. Back when I dog hunted we hunted on a cattle farm a few times and had a couple other leases in that area.

I would try to set it up so that I have multiple trap locations. Just have t- posts already in the ground at spots where they like to pass through often. Then just move the netting itself…

That’s what I was thinking too sleeper71. I don’t think they trap shy I think they get trap spot shy. I think they associate a particular spot with danger

Good luck. I got a brig a few years ago and it’s been sitting unused for a couple years now. Caught all the pigs!

in my experience one site per tract is all you need unless the tract is 500+ Acres. This time of year they are easy to get on bait since deer season is out and most bait sites are running dry.

Caught 9 more pigs yesterday. We harrowed the peanut fields on that farm last week and are seeing a lot more activity around the trap.
