This accident cost the life of an Augusta-Richmond County Deputy yesterday afternoon.
I know that several other members here actually had very close calls with deer running in front of their vehicles yesterday as well. Especially this time of the year, you just can't be too careful as you are driving on most any roadway as the deer are located also in very populated areas these days as well.
This was a fantastic deputy according to most all that knew him. He was riding his motorcycle yesterday afternoon as he was off-duty at the time. I would appreciate your Prayers for his family members as he is survived by a wife and three young children.

And yes, I did a double-take when I saw that the location of this accident was located in South Augusta at the intersection of Old Waynesboro Road at Deer Trail Drive !!!
