Byrna Self defense Weapons

Heard about this company on the radio on the way home. I think it is a good choice for those that don't like to shoot firearms or want to actually shoot someone and possibly kill someone. Watch some of the videos, I wouldn't want to get shot with one. They have different type of projectiles as well.

Thinking about getting the wife a "pistol". Unlike our daughters, she just doesn't like shooting guns and without practice she could be a harm to herself with one is a true situation. .

Pass, I am not leaving anyone to retaliate on my family.
That's cool but when out and about the person doesn't even know who you are most cases. If they come in our house she knows how to shoot and will with one of the many pistols. She just doesn't like to carry in her car.

Sounds strange I know...

If you're not going to leave any retaliators, you're gonna have a lot of killing to do. The whole family gonna be mad including the play cousins.

They may not know you at first, but they're gonna know you as soon as that police report is finished and publicly available.

Killing a person is not to be taken lightly and if someone feels like they can escape after deploying less than lethal defense munitions then that's what they should do. You can be 100% justified in the killing and still be trapped in a living nightmare in the aftermath.

I'm not arguing for or against either side... just making points of discussion.

When the police use less than lethal tools they have guns to back them up.
To each his own.
I’ll keep carrying a firearm.

Understand completely, my wife has a 5 shot air weight 38 because I don’t trust her with mags under stress.

My next conflict with an armed person that wishes to kill me will be my second.

If it comes down to me or them coming into a situation that leads me to pulling a weapon, I want to be the last man standing.

Thanks for sharing could be a good option for some. Especially if they have to travel to states that dont allow carry.

Like I said, not picking sides. Just some folks aren't ready for what comes after pulling the trigger.

One thing with pulling the trigger is you better have all of your I's dotted and T's crossed or you may be in the big house. What is fear to most isn't justified by law.

I would worry my wife would pull this pepper spray launcher once two thugs said give me your jewels. They would then pull their Glock they stole.

It’s going to be harder to live down I sent my wife out on the town with a kids toy, then her living down a dead perp, My opinion of course. I share the OP concerns as my wife can over react when threatened.

I have taken about as many precautions as possible to make sure she is not in harms way, but it is concerning.

I wonder how it works against a meth head. They can keep coming with 6 rounds in them?

Most anything works some of the time.
When I was on the job I felt secure most times when using Intermediate weapons. But I was trained in their use and I had a firearm as a backup.
One of my biggest concerns was that one of my squad would use an intermediate weapon, when deadly force was indicated, and get hurt because of it. Or a perp would get away and hurt someone later.

What are you basing this statement on? Personal experience? Or internet mythology. You put six half ways decently place rounds not outta a .22lr in someone and they are not going to attack you further 99.9% of the time.

Good thing too is now opioids is the drug of choice, so they attack in super slow motion. Plenty of time to act.
