Glass Lizard??

This little guy was waiting by my doorsteps when I got home from work yesterday. He was about 12" to 15" long and according to google images it's a glass lizard. I think this is the first one I've ever seen, just curious if anyone else has seen one.snake.jpg

It is. I don`t see near as many as I used to. Coral snakes eat em like candy.

They are still pretty common down here. I've helped several up over the curb and out of the road in the last year on my morning walk. Just like other lizards they can re-grow their tail if it breaks off.

Yeah, I caught him by the tail to help move him along (my wife hates any snakes) and about 1/2" of his tail broke off. Kinda what tipped me off that it was a lizard. Never had a snake lose part of his tail.
