Installing Carpet

I want to install carpet on the vertical walls of a shooting house to quieten it. I thought to use screws but the carpet fibers wrap around the screws and mess up that method. Would regular carpet glue hold the carpet on a vertical surface? The largest piece I need to install would be 3 feet x 6 feet.

I would use roofing nails. I don't think glue alone would have a chance.

Put a washer on the screws

Use a 1x2 wooden strip on top of the carpet panel screwing through the strip then the carpet. Start your screws in the strip and carpet. Then put in place and run the screw all the way into the wall.

Get a box of nails for foam board. They have a plastic washer on them. Outta work good
