My best cooked squirrel yet..

Brined it in salt water for 48 hours or so.
Then just put about 2/3 of cup of water in a pressure cooker, and cooked for 25 minutes or so.
Then put in an egg mixture and breaded with flour/salt/pepper/paprika and onion powder and fried about 4 minutes a side.

Breading was crispy and meat was fall off the bone tender, just wish I could get more then one squirrel at a time..

Me and my grand boys fried a mess in the yard on a recent nice afternoon...

It was a good time, eatin' and enjoying the day.

We still got about 20 in the freezer, for dumplings, or another fry!

Killin' and eating squirrels is very hard to beat!

Find you a good den tree with the holes chewed out. They tend to sleep together when it gets cold out. Sit still and shoot you one, stay sitting and get the next one or 2 that pokes their head out before you pick the first one up. If you know any squirrel dog hunters they will probably let you go with them. I always give the guest first dibs on the squirrels. Them look good you have cooked up there.
