Nice NC public land buck!

Arrowed my biggest buck on public land this past weekend in NC! Took me 2 years to find a spot that wasn’t really pressured. Was sitting all day on an oak flat between two bedding areas that had a scrape line along it. Saw deer consistently all day, except the day I shot this buck, he came out right before dark directly below my stand. He almost spooked when I stood, but gave me one chance at 2 yards quartering away from me. Couldn’t find any blood the whole night tracking him, so we decided to call a tracking dog that came out the next morning and to our surprise he only went about 80 yards from where I initially shot him! He green scored 146 3/4! Couldn’t be happier or more grateful than ever right now!

I shot a buck almost straight down once. He ran off about 80 or a 100. I didnt find one single drop of blood. Only found him by grid searching.
