Pond Hopping on the Piedmont NWR

Pond Hopping yesterday on the Piedmont NWR. The bass were biting pretty good, 3 of us in Kayaks caught around 10 or 12 ea including a 5lb 5oz Bass and a nice Chain Pickerel.

Are the ponds still full of grass? I love that place grew up fishing out there. Trying get my hands on a small boat so I can take my kids.

Yep. a lot of weeds. You can see groups of massive grass carp cruising that look like small tarpons, but they must not be working very hard.

I plan on fishing down there after turkey season I caught one over 8lbs in Allison Lake many years ago
