Put a cellular trail camera up on a tree, level with and facing directly at his stand. Then you will know what you are dealing with and when to go deal with it.
It's too bad that deer hunting can/does cause so much drama and in some cases hard feelings. It doesn't have to be that way but that's the way it works out sometimes. That takes a lot of the fun out of it.
