I have a question, in early bow season when its still kinda hot out would it be a good idea to hunt a watering hole? We have a pond on our property that borders where the deer bed and to me it seems that deer would have to get water several times a day in this heat. What do yall think about this idea?

I would say that if it stays dry your watering hole should be a honey hole !

Yeah I went and checked things out tonight and in one corner of the pond it looks like herds of deer come through everyday and its surrounded by lots of Acorn trees Hickory trees and Grape vines! If anyone need me opening day they will know where to find me:banana:

This moring I setup south east on a small pond too. Also setup my trail-cam. Just like you say, lots of deer and turkey traffic. I think as the soft mast goes the deer will come to water more often.
