what Depth Finder

I haven't used a fishfinder in years. Basically, what are the advantages or disadvantages in the side scan, D2 and such. I have been trying to read up on them, but I just am not sure what I need or want at this time. Can someone please explain some of this in country boy language?

That side scan, it lets ya look over yonder like looking over the neighbors fence.

I agree on the Humminbird 899. The screen size "seems" to be so close to the 999c and their are some awesome specials on this unit as they introduce the new units.

I would look at the Elite 7 combo which has regular sonar and down scan and you can view them side by side.

I have one and it's priced correct for what features it has. I use it on my 16'John boat..

if you decide on a bigger unit like the 999SI I might wait say till Feb 1st..... a little bird told me it will save you about $200.00
