I just figured out my “average season” and I found I don’t really hunt that many days IMHO.
We ( my buddy and I because my Wifey doesn’t like me to go out alone) usually hunt the first 4-5 days of the season. Then he comes up from Fl the first weekend of November and we hunt another 4-5 days. He usually makes one more trip in late November, thanksgiving, and then one in January.
Actual days (full days = morning and evening) is about 15 for the season.
I’ll sneak out another 5-6 evenings on my own.
We are hunting three properties that we rotate one morning, one evening and the third the next morning and then repeat.
On my own I usually stay on my own place because of the Wifey’s “advice “.
What do you all do?
Do you worry about too much pressure with days long hunts?
We usually kill 2-3 deer a piece with at least one being an 8 or better. And most of that is done in October through early November.
