I have NEVER had a pair of this brand of boots...

Red Wing makes excellent boots. Lighter than traditional "hunting boots" too. Mink oil will make them very water resistant all over- not "water proof" around the tongue tho.

I had a pair that lasted 20 years in an industrial environment along with hunting as well.

They don't have really deep cleats or treads to fill up with mud. I hate those kind of soles.

Aint any good rubber boots really. I work in mucks and im lucky to get a year out of em. At $100 ish a pair that hurts. I guess im cheap. If you could spend $200 and they would last then i'd do it, but they wont at any price.

As good a boot as I have ever worn is the original LL Bean Maine Hunting Shoe, in 12 inch height. In cold weather I wear Merino wool socks with those boots and stay warm. When you`re slipping in the woods you can feel almost everything through the soles of this boot and you can really walk quietly. Kind of old fashioned, but they sure perform well.
I wear those any rain day or mud days at work. Great boots! Keep a pair in my truck at all times.

I have a pair of those for rain days also, but they will make your feet SWEAT like crazy. They don't breathe at all!

the most comfortable pair of boots I own are Danner Pronghorn snake boots, very lightweight, and have held up for the last 5yrs or so with no issues, I tried a pair of LaCrosse snake boots before buying the Danners, not even close !

Looks like Bass Pro Redhead brand.

I've had 3 pairs of their Neoprene boots. If the soles don't fall off they wear out quick. I just bought a pair of Vasque Breeze. Lighter weight, waterproof and comfortable and the soles don't fall off.

I don't worry too much about snakes where I am. I probably should but I don't.

I had a pair of Cabela's snake boots that I wore for several years before the sole started coming off. I'm actually wearing a pair of Cabela's Gore-Tex wellingtons that I've had at least ten years - been re-soled once and about ready for another. The Redhead brand doesn't hold a candle to the old Cabela's stuff.

I was referring to Rocky brand in my post. Several people I know have had the same experience.
I was just fixing to post that I bet that they were Rocky Boots.

They used to give you another pair when something happened but soon stopped that. The last pair that I had was never even worn, they were a gift that I set aside as I didn't need them right then. When I did get them out to wear the soles had completely disintegrated/melted. I threw them in the burn pile with the tags still attached.

I'll never give them another dime for anything.

I like the Lacrosse Agility. They have a snake proof version of the Agility also, you need to check the box. I put a lot of miles on them, they’re comfortable and water proof. Keep them out of the sun while in storage, leave them in the bed of your truck ir in a carport and they will crack. You would have to catch me at a red light before you could even throw a pair of Rocky anything in my truck. About all of the s made in China tho.
