Everyone in mine and wife's family still celebrate the real reason for CHRISTmas and like Pappy I have grandkids and love seeing them. They live 3 hrs away.

But I do see your point but it doesn't affect me so it's their loss.

Who besides me is glad to see Christmas over with? Seems the older I get and the more removed we get from the true meaning of Christmas, the happier I am to see it over. Sad, but true.

We always celebrate the true meaning of Christmas its a very special time for us with family and friends. Christmas time always comes too quickly and is over much too soon for us. How others celebrate or do not celebrate the Christmas season is fine with us.

Just our immediate family made it a small Christmas. We focused
on our family and the reason for Christmas. Turned out to be a very specail Christmas.

I love it, because we cut all the commercial crap out of it. It's about family with us.

I find it kind of interesting when people talk about how Christmas is getting "too commercialized." One of the characters in Miracle on 34th Street complained in the movie about this same thing and it came out in 1947.

We quit gifts 30 years ago. Now it's just family, friends and food. Mix in an early church service, a huge brunch, football game, a little alcohol, and a nap and everyone enjoys
