I’ve yet to see a big boar. I see big sows and their offspring. If I saw a big, ugly boar I would certainly shoot him.

I’ve heard that a sow can put many dozen more mouths on the ground each year. I was told they crank 2-3 litters of up to 8 piglets, with the earliest batches coming into age that year and cranking some grand babies. Blasting the ladies is where it helps the most. Anyone that wants to send me some points on where some hogs are in the mountains I’d be happy to go tip a few over with the kids.

They are hard to pin down in the mountains.
