Wife says it must match the current porch.

I think you can match the color with the solid stain and be way happier a few years down the road . I have a huge deck and walkway that is pressure treated wood and the old owners used paint and I never stop working on it .

You’ve been saying paint. Sherwin Williams super stain porch and floor you can match and have an excellent job. I probabaly would not sweat the cracks but work the product into them.

And you are correct it's not cheap,but you shouldn,t have to redo it in 3 years when the caulk fails.
