(UPDATE #2) Please see post # 38 for additional information for "Source" of this thread.

Not sure if this is the right forum, or if this list has already been published on GON, but here it is:

FEAR THE GOVERNMENT THAT FEARS YOUR GUNS!

Be sure to read paragraphs at end.

Subject: The Gun Ban list is out

Here it is folks, and it is bad news. The framework for legislation is always laid, and the Democrats have the votes to pass anything they want to impose upon us. They really do not believe you need anything more than a brick to defend your home and family. Look at the list and see how many you own. Remember, it is registration, then confiscation. It has happened in the UK, in Australia, in Europe, in China, and what they have found is that for some reason the criminals do not turn in their weapons, but will know that you did. Please send this to everyone you can. It will come up for a vote, and it might even be a secret vote if Madame Pelosi has her way, and then it will be a done deal. ...thanks to Colonel Rus...Hal.

Right to own a gun Remember, the first step in establishing a dictatorship is to disarm the citizens.

Gun-ban list proposed. Slipping below the radar (or under the short-term memory cap), the Democrats have already leaked a gun-ban list, even
under the Bush administration when they knew full well it had no chance of passage (HR 1022, 110th Congress) It serves as a framework for the new list
the Brady's plan to introduce shortly. I have an outline of the Brady's current plans and targets of opportunity, It's horrific. They're going after the courts, regulatory agencies, firearms dealers and statutes in an all out effort to restrict we the people. They've made little mention of criminals. Now more than ever, attention to the entire Bill of Rights is critical. Gun bans will impact our freedoms under search and seizure, due process, confiscated property, states' rights, free speech, right to assemble and more, in addition to the Second Amendment. The
Democrats current gun-ban-list proposal (final list will be worse):

Attorney General gets carte blanche to ban guns at will:
Under the proposal, the U.S. Attorney General can add any "semiautomatic rifle or shotgun originally designed for military or law enforcement use, or a firearm based on the design of such a firearm, that is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, as determined by the Attorney General."

Note that Obama's pick for this office, Eric "Americans are Cowards" Holder, wrote a brief in the Heller case supporting the position that you have no right to have a working firearm in your own home. In making this determination, the bill says, "there shall be a rebuttable presumption that a firearm procured for use by the United States military or any law enforcement agency is not particularly suitable for sporting purposes, and shall not be determined to be particularly suitable for sporting purposes solely because the firearm is suitable for use in a sporting event."

In plain English this means that ANY firearm ever obtained by federal officers or the military is not suitable for the public. The last part is particularly clever,

stating that a firearm doesn't have a sporting purpose just because it can be used for sporting purpose -- is that devious or what? And of course, "sporting purpose" is a rights infringement with no constitutional or historical support whatsoever, invented by domestic enemies of the right to keep and bear arms to further their cause of disarming the innocent.

Looks like Obama is finally going to do something we elected him for. It looks good to me.

Jason, before the government gets any of my guns, I'll give them to the biggest meanest gang bangers I can find. I mean if the government gets involved taking guns away from law abiding citizens, the thugs will have them all anyway.

The government will never, I repeat never, get the guns away from the bad guys.

What part of that can't you understand?

He lives in a fantasy world where a fairy will come along and twinkle her nose and all the bad guns will just disappear. And a troll will bend over and a rainbow will come flying out of his.......well, you get the picture.

Where did you get your info from?

The link you listed went to a book for $19.95.

Do you have a House Bill number or something that says it's in committee?

Paddle....

I'll have to admit I "assumed" this was an official list... I have no House Bill Number or such as you asked. --

I did find the following paragraph info under the link I describe below.. it will be number "5" from the list when you click on the link. The author tells in depth where and how this list was obtained.

GUN BAN LISTS REVEALED
Jan. 5, 2009. Preliminary Brady/Obama gun-ban lists for 2009 are on the record, you can read them here and it will get worse -- if that's possible -- when the new versions are released. The Attorney General gets carte blanche to make bans, and any firearms used by military or feds would be presumed banned to the public.

Also, I have never seen or heard of the "Author's Book" that the link takes you too. I did however spend a lot of time after clicking on that link, doing a lot of reading that was contained within the "take a peek between the covers" It contains a "New Stuff" link that provides lots of info I wasn't aware of.. "Hundreds of documented cases ..etc.. take a quick look.. and decide for yourself.

http://www.gunlaws.com/newstuff.htm

I just read the info.... and try to determine if it walks and talks like a duck.... If the "free" info is impressive, then I may contribute to the Author's work & purchase the entire book. .... If not, I ignore the info (and or thread) and move on.

I prefer for some liberal to show up at my doorstep with the strong desire to take my guns. I promise to give up my right to bear arms very peaceable. :D

I hate to see stuff like this if it isn't from a citable credible source. All we need is more fuel for the AR buying hysteria that is making it hard for me to get my hands on one...:D

I did not vote for this man we call our president.I see alot going on in this package of goods they are trying to sell the public on that is very alarming. Most of us support the NRA verbally but few with our money. If we, the good ole boy rednecks don't wake up and do something QUICK they ARE awake and they are comming after our guns.Don't be fooled by the carisma of someone who is able to tickle the ears of the public in a speech. What is said publically and what is going on in secret to get things passed is not the same.I'll confess i myself have been sleeping far too long,I like my guns,I like to hunt and I like to shoot.I'm sending my money in.
