How to you know it’s time to quit on a morning hunt?

It depends on where I’m hunting, if it’s a quota hunt or a check-in hunt all day the first day, one place I hunt I rarely hunt in the evenings so if it’s nice and cool between 1-2pm, if it’s warm doing archery season then 11-12. I hunt public land so I rarely have evening spots I’m just willing to sit all day like I said earlier because hunters will start to move around and bump them.

When the fun and wonder of it leaves it is time to go. It isn't meant to be a job but a hobby with some great food at the other end. That's how I go about it.
If my son is with me I try and watch him to see if he is still enjoying. I will usually push about 20-30 after I realize he is ready just to develop the mental toughness to push through something. I do let him know let's sit 20-30 more though
