I have a gerber gator that I picked up 15ish years ago. I've abused it and it still works great. I got they haven't changed anything about it because I would buy another one.
I looked at those. There have been some really good suggestions in this thread. Before it's over I may have a whole arsenal of these things for my wife to supervise me with. A cutting instrument for every occasion.
Never used that version but I have a lot of hours on the long handle version. They will definitely clear some brush.This is what I use. Badboy will cut some brush.
Sharpen with a file when it gets dull.

I’ve had the Fiskars 24” machete for several years with 0 complaints.Never used that version but I have a lot of hours on the long handle version. They will definitely clear some brush.

They work.. and don't cost anything after the initial buy, but a little time to sharpen and a back ache the next day.with the gas powered stuff out now i cant believe they still make them....
