Ok here we go again!! Just pulled out from the house in South Ga headed back to North Central Kansas (Mankato). This will be the second year with this particular farmer. Who takes a few hunters a year. This will be the 8th year Me (WSM270), my brother (Jack Leg), and my dad, have went off hunting. We should get there in time to get in the stand by Thursday evening (9th) and then hunting through the 16th at least and maybe a day or two afterwards. Me and Jack leg will try to keep everyone updated. By the way, out of the 8 years we have been off hunting, 2 of those years have been to Kansas. Once with Kansas Farmland Outfiters and the second with this dude. All of us have eaten tags both years, Both times seeing big deer and passing on a few smaller bucks but not getting the opportunity on the big boy. Maybe the 3rd years the charm. Thanks to everyone who kept up last year. We will try to keep everyone in the loop.:yeah:

Ok here we go. I am in the stand for the first evening. I am on the edge of a timber and a real young wheat field that is 80 yards wide, with corn on the others side of it. Hopefully the deer will be coming out of the timber headed to the fields to feed.

I am in the stand!!! I am in a narrow wood lot with a creek in it between 2 fields. Have got several big deer on camera that's been cruising through here so let's see what happens. Good to be in Kansas!! Dad is also in a little draw also.

Well I had a coyote duck my arrow at 50 yards. I ended up seeing two does before dark. Besides that just cold and windy. See y’all tomorrow.

Yesterday afternoon guys I had set in the stand for a hour half a old big body tall massive tight rack 8 point walked by and I shot him at 29 yards. Shot was a little back and low but I knew I hit him good. We trailed for 150 yards and he stood up so we backed out but he was hurting bad. Went back this morning and found him 30 yards from where he stood up at. Will post pic later. Which they don't do him justice with the mass he has. Coyotes got to him bad.

Here is my set for this morning. The field to the left is a cut corn field. Not much happening though.
