Outside cats are indiscriminate killers of any small critters and birds they can catch and are a poor choice. Fortunately they don`t last long in quail country.
Yeah, my grandparents always had 12-15 cats around the farm. They never had a problem with rats, but they also never had any rabbits or squirrels either. As an enthusiastic young hunter, nothing made me angrier than seeing a cat drag a rabbit in the yard. :mad:

Back then, rabbits were big-game to me.

Agree, but so are mice/rat baits.
agree with the snake comments. But don't want to see them either.

I don`t place poison around my homestead at all.
