New to me Caterpillar

Anyone know what this is? There are some tiny spikes along the body. Found him crawling on the Jeep this morning. My quick google search didn't find anything.

No, they're harmless, unless you're an oak leaf.

Oh, and the censor sometimes picks up banned words as part of another word. It's annoying, but we haven't figured out how to fix it yet.

Seen them strip a small tree in a few days with a bad infestation.

the caterpillars seem to be hyper abundant this year. I've seen some awesome butterflies and caterpillars of many types.
