CongratsYep, bought 2 of them. I’ve been perfectly clear in this thread, and have stated multiple times this is one of the finest shotguns in the world and worth every penny they charge. I think everybody should buy one.

Guess I need to buy you a hat,I’ve gone to several turkey shoots and won more than my fair share. Even then they had scopes. Extended to chokes. That Ol 870 made back in the early 80s ain’t done bad. Got it for about a buck fifty. 30” full choke barrel. I’ve killed deer turkeys hogs ducks and dove with it. Over 40ty years.
This shotgun reminds be of the bow Industry. Each year they come out with the lates and the greatest.
Guess now we have the turkey gun.
The hunting channels are for one thing. Selling products!
Michael Waddell is a turkey calling fool. He don’t no more need that shot gun to kill a turkey. He has a stack of them. But this year you will see him hubting with it. Just before the shot they will do a close up of the turkey track. The gun will be placed on the bird for more shots of it. He will have a logo on a hat and they will show him on a buggy or a truck with the brand name.
He is living the dream !
I agree. $1700 is a lot of money to throw shot downrange. Seems to me a better use of money would be to find a cheaper shotgun with a choke and ammunition combination that it liked that did a good job. Pretty certain I could do that for a lot less than $1700!
That being said, I still don't blame Waddell for hawking it, its how he makes a living, and I'm sure he didn't fork out $1700 for one of them, he likely outfitted all of those in his close group of buds with one as part of his endorsement deal .
Is there some sort of contest I don’t know about for who can kill a turkey with the cheapest gun?
Of course your $38 Mossberg pump from the pawn shop you bought back in ‘83 will kill a turkey, it’s a shotgun… and it shoots bullets.
Yes. Those of us with that line of thinking also prefer to call them in close before blasting. Just because…
We don’t use tss, unless it’s in a smaller gauge. Again, just because.
Good luck this season!
Good luck to you too, hope you kill a pile of’em.Yes. Those of us with that line of thinking also prefer to call them in close before blasting. Just because…

Dang BM, I thought we might could be on the same team! I use TSS in all gauges and still get them close. The cost of shells is insignificant to me after you figure in the rest of it, so why not? Heck, God forbid, he might be running or flying away crippled and that’s the difference in a crying kid and a fat coyote vs a great day.
Yea it’s a unwritten contest. Is there some sort of contest I don’t know about for who can kill a turkey with the cheapest gun?

Just checked with Dahlonega Gold and Pawn’s online store and a Weatherby Element turkey model in 20 or 12 gauge is $640. I’m not really looking for a new shotgun but it certainly has me interested. Looks like a good option.Weatherby Element
Inertia semi auto loader
Comes camo or black synthetic or a wooden finish. 700 to maybe 900. In that area. Light and slim built. Different barrel Lengths.
Just saying. Shop around if in the market.
I didn’t want to say the low side of price. I seen over a hundred leave a gun store. They are regular folks , I live a mile from T-Bone and have met them both a few times . Really down to earth country boys that are good at making a living doing what they love to do .Yes, all of us with common sense could have multiple firearms for that amount of money, if we chose to spend that much, but the same kind of guys that spend $5,000 or more to join a hunting club will buy a gun like that ,, its like when they buy a Range Rover or some other high priced item, they do it for a status thing,

Waddell seemed like a regular guy when I met him, and a good friend of mine is related to T-bone, and has met Waddell a few times, he says he and T-bone are just normal folks, who are living the dream !
I don’t have the gun in the video, and I don’t plan on buying it.Yea it’s a unwritten contest.
Not really.
But we would love to see your pic with a Tom. That shot gun. And a short story.
I know your chopping at the bit to squeeze off a shot with that new shot gun.
Don’t be shy. We love a good turkey hubting story.
