Scope recommendation for a Savege Model 160 pump 30-30

I recently found a Savage 30-30 pump rifle that my late brother had. It only has iron sights and was needing a recommendation of a scope for the rifle. Most shots would be less then 100 yards. While I am at it I was also needing a recommendation for ammunition.

Ammo is easy. Buy any you can find.

For a scope, I'd eBay up a nice old Bushnell Banner or Sportview fixed 4x. Something from the time period correct for the rifle.

Then I'd enjoy the heck out of owning and hunting with it.
If you're really lucky, an old fixed power Weaver 6X. Don't see them much anymore though but it would be perfect on a gun like that.

Leupold Freedom 2-7x33 would be great. I got one on my Ruger 44 carbine and its sweet!

Fixed 4X, front (Objective) lens 32 to
40 mm, not any bigger, and the rear (or ocular) lens should have a generous "eye box" --meaning it is not very sensitive to precise placement of your eyeball behind that lens; you'll get a good view if you're anywhere near the right place.
