What bothers me most about
big 10 fans and yankees is that they are a whiny bunch of little babies. they get outscored 69-0 in the past 2 years in the play off.They cant win and cast blame on the committee for making a great decision based on the past 2 years. all wisky had to do was score once more and they wouldnt all be in here whining about not being represented in the cfb playoff.

Needs to be more than 8. Everybody in the Top 12 this year has an argument for "being there" based on W/L record. Don't hand me no strength of schedule carp because I ain't buying it. In the real world it's your W/L record that sends you to the dance. Only in Division 1 CFB is there this ridiculous Kabuki dance every year and this year is the worst one of all.
Not to mention Clempsome is ranked #1 with a loss to unranked Syracuse and we're #3 with a loss to Auburn? Somebody explain what's up with that?

Defending National Champs, qb not 100% and was out for half the game at Syracuse, 3 pt loss, ranked #1 going into ccg, dominated Miami
New kid on the block, 100% healthy, taken behind the woodshed at Auburn, ranked #6 going into ccg, beat Auburn
Its really splitting hairs but I can see why Clemson is #1. Those #1-4 rankings are just a ploy to get the National Championship they want. What would get better ratings than a Uga/Clemson or Uga/Bama title game?
Like I said - Syracuse - unranked, Auburn at the top of the rankings. If we're going to play this strength of schedule game then let's play it fair and square.
It doesn't matter. I expect Bama will beat Clemson and play us for the NC.

If we played SOS fair and square Bama wouldn't be in the playoffs.
Clemson lost, but was competitive, to an unranked team without their qb.
Ga was completely healthy,got blew out by a good team, and were not at all competetive in that game.
Both teams are deserving of their playoff spot but I can understand why they ranked Clemson ahead of Uga. You may be right, we'll see soon enough.

Clemson is the team to beat and the rankings show that. Bama may have a better W/L record but Osu had the better Sos. Isn't that what the Sec guys harped on for so many years?
Either way, they got the 3 best teams. 4th is questionable but the in the end we'll all find out if the committee made the right choice.
They did on the 3 no doubt. There are teams besides Bama that have a good case to be made for being included. That's why a real playoff system is the only answer.

Agreed. Win a Power Five conference championship, and you're in the playoffs. Throw a few wildcards in there for the Boise St flash in the pan types and the also rans.
Start the playoffs the 2nd Saturday of December.
Personally, I think Ohio St and USC are getting hosed. And I like neither team. But they won their power five championship games, and have a valid argument against bama.

Maybe we'll at least get an 8 team playoff. Id be happy with Power 5 conf champs with 3 at large. As long as the at large are picked using the same criteria every year.
Maybe Big Dollar could write another letter

This thread was about the very reason Bama got in This year is the exact opposite of what they said about the 2015 Buckeyes which was the most talented team in the country. It's a shame that they decided it was the most deserving and not the 4 best in 2015 and now in 2017 they say 4 best not 4 most deserving? That was my point

Did y'all read the link I posted about the 8 team playoff? It's from 2013 but shows why it won't happen at least till the contract is up with this playoff committee. It's all about tv money

You have no idea how that game would have turned out. OSU is the only team in America with a top 10 defense and offense.
Last year's game has nothing to do with this year. Our O coordinator last year was a joke and was fired before he got off the plane. Again, who knows what happens but to just say they would get smoked when OSU is just as talented as Clemson and the draft last year, this year, and moving forward will prove.
if the dogs were relevant enough for it to be an annual problem for them you might understand
