Just had three does come running in like they were being chased. They kept running and did a u-turn and ran right back the way they came.

2 does cutting across my Powerline 400 yards out..

Cameras on plots and feeders have had deer all morning. We chose to get in the woods near oaks. Oh well.

Now I just had a group of 7 run by from the complete opposite direction.

Can hear her chewing acorns.

So I pulled out my grunt call and hit it a couple of times. Put it back in my vest and saw a buck pop up on the knob in front of Wesley. He got behind some stuff then trotted over to our ridge. He shot and the buck dropped and rolled down the hill. After a couple of minutes I could hear him trying to get up in the bottom. We hurried and got to where we could see him and Wesley put one behind his shoulder. He hit him high the first shot and the deer likely would have gotten up and never been seen again. Here’s a pick of the buck and our ground set up. We are going to sit here until around 9, then drag him out and take him to the check station.

Just had 4 or 5 does feeding in an old logging road below me. Something ran them off, not sure what.

Just had one blow at me while I was leaned out trying to get a picture of a woodpecker

The deer are moving here just not the ones I'm looking for. 5 or 6 slick heads and 2 small bucks.

On a Cobb creek flat next to a grassy area. So far a 5 point, 3 does and a really pretty young 3 point with 2 snow white double throat patches...
