Here in meriwether I am not seeing many acorns at all. Is there others hunting in meriwether seeing the same as me ?

No deer for me. One of our members missed a doe. Back at camp waiting on lunch time. The wife texted me while I was in the stand to tell me she’s taking our daughter to see the Taylor Swift movie. Darn. So sorry I missed that.

Any white oak acorns around?

Definitely but more sporadic than those big (overcup?) reds.
Lots of mountain oaks droppin too.
I have a feeling this big blow coming will load the ground with all sorts...

Home here in north Cherokee have had metal roof on house for 20 years! Never heard acorns dropping as heavy as this fall! Not even close

On public this morning, my son and I saw three does at about 75 yards eating acorns. A lot of trees between us and them and he didn't pull the trigger. He should have, but I guess he didn't feel confident. Still a great day in woods, especially when your kids are with you
