bought my son a mossberg .410 super bantum....my curiosity got the best of me yesterday and I bought some federal tss#9. I shot a little low, as it was hard to shoulder that little gun. But I'm pretty impressed with the pattern density. This was at 20 yds out of a fixed modified barrel.

I was gonna buy a 870 .410 but the length of pull would have been a little too long for him....this mossberg has 10.5 length of pull and comes with a spacer so he should be able to shoot it for several yrs

will do...I plan to shoot it at 30 to see what kind of pattern it shoots, but I'm gonna try to stick to 20 yds max for my son

Is that using the choke that comes with the 301? Good looking pattern

Shot my 28 with factory full today. Not impressive (my 410 I shot last year had a nicer pattern with full factory barrel).

Sending barrel off to Sumtoy tomorrow to get new choke so I'll be squared away.
