I’m all for letting deer get “mature” before shooting them.
BUT
It’s getting out of hand for some folks.
We can’t manage for genetics. Only the habitat & number of mouths we feed.
Not every mature buck will reach 120-130-140” or more. Enjoy them and be proud of them, regardless of antler size. They’re all trophies.
To end my rant, guys just try sounding fancy by adding that “1/2”. Nobody cares. It’s a guess anyways. That deer could be 3, 4 or 5, maybe even 2…
Go hunt.. Have fun.
