I didn't realize you hunted so close to my old HS stomping grounds...I grew up in Petersburg/Pike Co. Indiana. About 40 miles north of Evansville. At one time, it was the highest deer population county in Indiana. Biggest deer I've ever (to this day) seen I saw there bowhunting in the strip pits when I was 17.
