JT has anyone in camp killed anything yet

Couple bucks killed last week…one that shouldn’t have been shot and one that was from a fella that was a 1st time ever hunter.

It’s been a tough run this year so far considering how many shooter bucks we have running around here. Altho I missed one, John missed one and one was missed last week. So that’s all on us

I hit the easy button this evening. I’m in a box blind where cut corn meets the timber. Creek on the east timber on the west. About a 3/4 mile walk as flat as you can get.

Anyone walking around Redlands WMA and finds an old Baker foot climber looking something like that from when that was my Dad's lease is welcome to it, it was mine. Last seen 1980 through blurry eyes as I (bloody and somewhat dizzy) crawled back to the road.

"Doe came in from up near jackies fence and went to my camera. Huge buck then showed and went to her. She ran into woods and he stopped in clear opening. I thought was 50 but actually farther. Pretty sure I shot under him. Maybe she will bring him by again."

I just had 3 bucks chasing a doe all over wooded hillside north of me. Closest they got maybe 60 yards but really thick. All went silent so pretty sure they're still over there.

@Jim Thompson do they run any feed during hunting season?

Yes KS allows feeding all year. Steve runs feeders year round and some of the stands will have feed out. Altho like usual by the time we get out here most years the deer don’t pay as much attention to food.

I wish something would pay attention this eve!

Down to about 30 mins. The wind is settling down and the world is quieter. The sun is almost gone.
