Same here, bought a 2020 Outback last year. After 50 years of cars and trucks it is the best of all of them. Also, built in the USA. Slapped my NRA sticker on it and was good to go. My last Chevy Colorado and Ford Ranger were crap. Both were bought new and had transmission problems in and out of warranty.
Get you a Nissan or Toyota. Last forever. Made in America. Not endorsed by Socialists.

Never could afford a Toyota equipped the way I wanted. Had a new Nissan Frontier back in the late 90's and owned it for 2 weeks before I got T-boned at at a 4 way stop. Had to be cut out of the vehicle. Considered that as a bad omen.

About a Subaru. My ultra conservative, trump loving buddy got a new one. He’s a seasoned citizen and figures he and his wife are still alive because their last one ( fairly new) was hit head on in a horrific drunk driver accident. He kinda walked away she wasn’t as lucky but is pretty good now. I Myself will continue to drive a full size truck.

I got a Diablo 12 gauge double barrel shotgun pistol,with 6" barrels.
Muzzle loader,of course.Black powder.
It's a blast to shoot,and totally legal.

I know Subaru is a different automobile, people that buy them are a little different too. Heck, I'm different, I have 2 Ford F150 4 wheel drives, 1 Ford F250 Power Stroke Diesel extended cab 4 wheel drive, Jeep CJ 7, New Dodge Big Horn, Honda UTV, Honda Foreman, Air Stream camper. The reason I bought the Subaru is I needed a good ride to carry my wife to her doctor and hospital appointments.

Another good thing about Subaru is the community forums. Lots of help there from knowledgeable level headed people. I posted that I was looking to replace my space saving spare tire and needed to find a full size wheel. A guy near me gave me one for free saving me about $100.
