Need a good scope for my new gun

Burris Fullfield2 or a Sightron. You can spend more and get the same or less from other brands.

I've got a Simmons Pro50 2.5-10x50 with Butler Creek flip-up caps. I'll take $100 shipped for it. I had it on my deer rifle for about 5 years and never had a problem with it. It held zero perfectly, and I killed quite a few deer and coyotes with it. I got bit by the Leupold bug a few years back. That's why it's sitting on the shelf in the gunsafe now.

Just for a heads up for the guys considering the new Winny M-70... Some scopes don't mount well on these rifles. I bought a 3-9x40 Zeiss Conquest to put on my pre-64 Model 70 and it wouldn't fit. Conquests and some of the other Euro style scopes have really big occulars. I put Talley mediums on it and the bolt would hit the occular when I cycled it. Switched the Conquest to a Remmy and put a VXIII on the M-70.. Problem solved.....

I think this guy has already found a scope for his rifle since this thread was started on 09-14-2004. :bounce:
