With adding the lead shot, I measure it out so that it balances the rifle right in the middle of the action.

I host the pics, they come out huge. I use the software here on the site, they come out upside down or sideways. I edited the photos and reversed them on my phone, still upside.

I am liking this conversation. Do you lose much velocity with a 16" barrel? Compared to say 20-22 in barrel?

Of course! I haven't chrono'ed it to see how much, but a 175grn .308 still lacks more than enough punch to go through and through both front doors of a vehicle, windshields, most body armor, etc.
